Before Franchising

Cynthia grew up in a working-class family near the Texas–Mexico border. By high school, she was already running a business — selling purses out of the trunk of her car. Those early experiences taught her how to connect with people, build trust, and sell without pressure.

Over time, she built and sold multiple businesses across real estate, staffing, and retail before turning to franchising as a scalable model.

Why Franchising Made Sense

Franchising appealed to Cynthia because it offered:

  • A proven operating system
  • Clear brand standards
  • A repeatable path to scale

She became a franchisee after first being a customer, recognizing the importance of brand experience and emotional connection — two factors often overlooked by new buyers.

A Hard Lesson Learned

Early in her career, Cynthia purchased a business without proper due diligence. The deal looked good on paper but failed operationally. That experience reinforced a core belief she shares today:

Due diligence is non-negotiable.

How She Defines Success

For Cynthia, growth isn't just unit count or revenue. She measures success by:

  • Team strength
  • Culture retention
  • Customer loyalty
  • Long-term sustainability
